2010 The Year of LeBron

For all of those people that feel LeBron James on court play has justified his exorbitant $90 million contract with Nike, you might want to think again. According to “Sports Business Radio,” as LeBron continues to take his game to the next level on the court, off the court sales of LeBron’s shoe have failed to move at the pace most Nike executives had originally hoped.

This summers Beijing Olympics could go a very long way in expediting the growth of LeBron’s brand. With so many people worldwide tuning in to watch these Olympics, LeBron will have the same opportunity that MJ took full advantage of in ’92.

Regardless if sales of LeBron’s Nike products increase or not, people have already begun to speculate about what might happen in 2010, the year LeBron becomes a free agent and his contract with Nike expires? Will LeBron take his game to a big market – NY, Chicago, LA or will he join his wingman Jay-Z with the Nets, who are set to open in Brooklyn during the same year?

2010 - the year that we will all be witnesses… To read the full report

(Personally, I’m surprised sales of LeBron’s mouthpiece haven’t skyrocketed yet to this point. There’s nothing better than watching LeBron stick his mouthpiece under his headband during timeouts.)

Lebron put his mouthpiece in the back of his headband for the postgame interview against Portland the other night. The only problem was that the camera had a side angle of him with that thing hanging out...

I think the Cavs need a to post a new job opening on the Cleveland Craigslist:

Mouthguard Holder for Elite Athlete.

Role: Travel with NBA team, Carry mouthguard holder, Sit courtside and Quickly facillitate athlete with mouthguard needs

Skills Necessary: Quick off your feet when a buzzer sounds, great anticipation of timeouts during game, ability to spot #23 at end of half and right after each game ends

This seems kind of surprising, nonetheless a great read.

LeBron will likely never make the kind of impact of a Tiger or Mike, if he plans to stay in Ohio. He needs a big market that hasn't had a superstar in years. There's only 1 city I can think of. Big Apple!

Lebron could use his mouthpiece to help him stop biting his fingernails. He just has to use it whenever he has the urge to bite. Or he can get a nailbitestopper.com at nailbiting.biz
